A Sweet Irony in the Candy Aisle

You may remember that certain candy companies recently made the decision to source non-GMO (and therefore non-beet) #sugar, based on “consumer” demand. Now, faced with a potential cocoa bean scarcity, genetic engineers are being asked to save the day. I’m confident they won’t let us down because a world without chocolate is simply unthinkable! Kudos to those candy companies who choose #FactsNotFear and let’s hope future labels say “Gratefully produced with genetic engineering”. #agbiotech #GMO

“Principles of Curiosity”, a film by Skeptoid Media

I’m excited to share the link to this incredible film that premiered last night in Los Angeles! It’s a fascinating look into how we sort through information and how to come to fact-based conclusions. One topic happens to be about #GMO #sugarbeets!

If you are a Junior High or High School teacher, there are FREE downloadable materials on their website (see credits). And please share this link so that your friends can enjoy this thought-provoking film (and its great footage of some Brawley locales)!
