When Marketing Backfires
The public Voice of Reason is loud and clear: don’t spread misinformation and don’t use kids to do it. Stonyfield misjudged the effect of this recent ad and the comments show that consumers don’t appreciate this type of fear-based marketing!
A Sweet Irony in the Candy Aisle
You may remember that certain candy companies recently made the decision to source non-GMO (and therefore non-beet) #sugar, based on “consumer” demand. Now, faced with a potential cocoa bean scarcity, genetic engineers are being asked to save the day. I’m confident they won’t let us down because a world without chocolate is simply unthinkable! Kudos to those candy companies who choose #FactsNotFear and let’s hope future labels say “Gratefully produced with genetic engineering”. #agbiotech #GMO
